PSU filament
TECAFIL PSU natural is a PSU filament that, like PPSU and PES, is classified in the group of polyphenylene sulfones and thus belongs to the high-performance plastics. Its properties are therefore similar to those of PPSU filament. PSU filament is heat resistant up to 160°C (continuous service temperature) and is characterised by high toughness even at low temperatures. PSU filament also shows high creep resistance over a wide temperature range.
Like PEEK as well as PEI, PSU plastic has been used in industry for many years, mainly for applications that require high resistance and are exposed to high temperatures. Therefore PSU filament is often a cost-effective alternative to PEEK or PEI for less demanding environments. In contrast, it often replaces polycarbonates, especially at higher temperatures, when some transparency is still required. PSU filament is also relatively easy to 3D print due to its low warping.
This PSU filament is also suited for the use in food plants as it is categorised as a food grade filament, declaring conformity to regulations (EC) No 1935/2004, (EU) No 10/2011 and (EC) No 2023/2006 including a FDA statement of conformity on raw materials.
