PETG filament

PET is one of the most commonly used 3D printing filaments in the field of engineering plastics. This is why we have developed TECAFIL PET-G natural filament. PETG is a filament based on polyethylene terephthalate (PET) polymer modified by glycol. PET-G is characterised by good impact strength and chemical resistance.

Why use PETG filaments?
PETG 3D printing has many advantages over conventional PET filament. The filler glycol acts as a natural ingredient improving the flow behaviour and reducing the risk of the material becoming brittle. Due to the lower viscosity and reduced crystallization rate, PETG 3D printing enables faster and rectified printing results. As a result, printing PETG enhances your 3D printed parts in regards of layer adhesion and transparency of material. PETG filament is also known for almost zero warping. The combination of PETG material properties, a PETG printing temperature around 230-250°C and a printing bed temperature around 70-90°C, make this filament perfectly suited for desktop printing of industrial applications or even for printing at home.

PETG filament is most commonly used in industries like food and packaging as well as mechanical engineering. Due to its chemical resistance and transparency, the use of this filament of the material opens up a large range of applications in the bioprocessing sector.

This 3D printing material is a food grade filament, declaring conformity to regulations (EC) No 1935/2004, (EU) No 10/2011 and (EC) No 2023/2006 including a FDA statement of conformity on raw materials.
