PES filament
TECAFIL PES natural is an unfilled PES filament. PES also known in the market as PESU is a high performance plastic out of the polyphenylene sulfones polymer family. PES filament can withstand high temperatures for long periods of time. Parts printed with PES filament are permanently temperature resistant up to 180°C (short-term up to 220°C). Its amorphous molecular structure make PES filament a transparent, slightly amber coloured 3D printing material with good light transmission properties. Furthermore PES filament is characterised by good heat resistance, creep resistance and dimensional stability.
PES is inherent flame retardant, and therefore, well suited for the transportation sector. However PES filament can be used in many applications and for nearly all industries like mechanical engineering or automotive industry.
PES filaments are often used in electronics due to their good electrical insulation properties. Other industries such as oil and gas can also benefit from 3D printing PES for their applications. The most outstanding is that PES 3D printing is ideal for applications that require tight tolerances and small dimensional changes over a wide temperature range.
