Evonik PEEK filament
The requirements of our customers are essential for us as a manufacturer of plastics when developing plastic solutions. Thus, the goal in the extrusion of filaments is to select the most suitable material for your printer and your specific applications and requirements. In addition, we are not limited to one raw material or supplier. Therefore we offer in addition to our PEEK 3D printing filament - which is based on Victrex® PEEK 450 - an Evonik PEEK filament based on VESTAKEEP®. The basic material properties are of course the same as those of PEEK filament in general (further details can be found in TECAFIL PEEK VX natural).
In contrast to Victrex PEEK filament this Evonik PEEK filament is characterised by lightly different PEEK filament properties. Due to the melt flow rate (MVR) around 15,5 g/10 min (380°C/5kg) TECAFIL PEEK EV natural is in contrast to PEEK VX (10g / 10min), based on a less viscous unfilled resin. Furthermore, both PEEK filaments show a different crystallization behaviour. TECAFIL PEEK EV natural is characterised by a significant slower crystallization point over time. By using the best fitted parameters a better an enhanced layer adhesion XZ-direction and better improved mechanical properties for high loads also under lower printer conditions can be achieved.
Depending on your printer, printing parameters and the size of the component one or the other PEEK filament 1,75 mm can lead to better result.
This 3D printing material is a food grade filament, declaring conformity to regulations (EC) No 1935/2004, (EU) No 10/2011 and (EC) No 2023/2006 including a FDA statement of conformity on raw materials.
VESTAKEEP® is a registered trademark of Evonik Industries AG.
